Bormio and Valtellina are ideal holiday destinations throughout the year, in any season. Some like the snow and long days on the ski slopes, while others prefer the warmer months when you can go hiking in the national park or wander through the historic streets of the local towns and villages. Both in summer and winter Bormio and its surrounding areas offer all sorts of activities.
If you love hiking you can discover the mountain paths, on your own or with the Alpine Guides. Don't forget that we are in the heart of the beautiful Stelvio National Park, a paradise of precious flora and fauna.
If on the other hand you would prefer a more relaxing holiday, you can visit the historic centre of Bormio, the Braulio cellars, the Civic and Mineralogical museums, or the Rezia Alpine Botanic Garden. There is also a 9 hole golf course 5 minutes from the town centre.
This season brings snow and winter sports. In Alta Valtellina you can ski on slopes with over 1700m height difference, or take on the snow park at Bormio 2000.
With just 1 lift pass you can ski in both Bormio and Livigno (Carosello 3000 and Mottolino), Santa Caterina Valfurva and Valdidentro-San Colombano.
Ever wanted to go night skiing?
On Saturday in Bormio and Wednesday in Santa Caterina you can go floodlit skiing in the evening.
Super cozy hotel! I went with my boyfriend, while cruising Italy by motorcycle. The staff is very friendly. Perfect location near restaurants and stores. Spacious rooms. Confortable beds. Our room had a small balcony with a stunning view of the mountains. Bormio is beautiful and this hotel is a gem!
